We may be closed but the wonderful Brian Chalk and his lads have been hard at work giving our thatch a much-needed bit of TLC. A new flush ridge, clean down, patch up and re-wire and it’s all smartened up for reopening….whenever that may be.

It’s only when you look at the before photograph, that you realise how much it really needed some attention.

We even have some lovely new “door hats” as we like to call them.  That may not be the technical term!

We’re very lucky to have such an excellent team of thatchers to help us.  It’s wonderful to watch them at work – all suitably distanced from each other, of course, and all finished now. Stay safe and stay at home!
