KITCHEN OPEN FRIDAYS - SUNDAYS and by pre-booking on WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS. We also do special events on bank holiday Mondays. We are committed to using fresh food, freshly prepared for you. We are very happy to cater for off-menu requests if we have sufficient notice. During the summer, we have a fantastic wood-burning pizza oven in our beer garden one Friday a month. And of course we have a fabulous Sunday roast on Sundays.

We are a traditional pub serving decent and honest good pub food, all home-made and freshly sourced. We’re always willing to accommodate dietary requirements and to change (or add!) dishes to suit your desires so please do have a chat with us about the menu if you don’t see anything suitable for you.

Our menu includes old favourites like burgers, fish & chips and a glorious Wiltshire Ploughman’s. We also have some lovely starters such as tempura prawns and baked camembert. Our sausage rolls are hand-made by Jono in our kitchen every morning and they are delicious.

We have fantastic home-made pizzas from our wood-fired pizza oven once a month in Summer and often on Bank Holiday Mondays. That’s if we’re not doing a hog roast (oh my!) or a BBQ.

We love a good Sunday roast. We always have a choice of two roast meats (beef, lamb, pork, chicken…) as well as a vegetarian option such as vegetable wellington or falafel roast. Jono’s Yorkshire puddings are amazing and we’re always happy to supply lots more gravy. We generally have one or two other options such as fish & chips or a home-made burger for those who don’t fancy the full Sunday roast experience.

Our landlady Rosie is in charge of puddings. She’s particularly good on cheesecakes. Check out our instagram page for weekly competitions to choose the next flavour.

KITCHEN IS OPEN ON FRIDAYS – SUNDAYS (not Sunday evenings). Reservations are possible for groups of 4 or more with food pre-ordered on Wednesday and Thursdays. Alternatively, soup and home-made sausage rolls are available on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.

We are lucky to live in wonderful Wiltshire where there is such an abundant supply of fresh food and so many exciting breweries to try. Our aim is to keep all our suppliers as local as possible, although we make an honorable exception for wine.
